The item of the election of the Deputy Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security was on the agenda of December 7 extraordinary sitting of the Standing Committee. However, the Armenia Faction did not nominate candidate for Deputy Chair of the Committee with official document. The opposition deputies did not take part in the sitting.

The Chair of the Standing Committee Andranik Kocharyan noted that, in accordance with the law NA Rules of Procedure, within 5 days an extraordinary sitting would be convened, and the item would be resolved by law. It was also stated that the Deputy Chair of the Committee was not elected for the 15^th time.
