At December 16 NA extraordinary sitting, the parliament debated in the first reading the draft law on Amending the Law on Making Addenda to the Law on State Border authored by the Government.

The Deputy Chairwoman of the SRC Tsovinar Soghomonyan has informed that it has been established by the RA Law on Making Addenda to the RA Law on State Border adopted in February of the current year that the inspection body exercising control in the field of transport takes control of compliance with traffic legislation in the check points of the state border. It was simultaneously fixed that the mentioned provision should enter into force from January 1, 2022.

The draft law proposes to postpone the term of law entering into force until August 6.
