At December 16 extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the RA Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan presented for debate in the second reading the package of draft laws on Making Addenda and Amendments to the Law on Tax Service and on Making Addenda and Amendments to the Law on Customs Service, which proposed to regulate the issues on the appointment to the positions of tax and customs services.

According to the legislative package, the RA citizens who satisfy the requirements of the passport of the given position, know the Armenian language, have higher education and are 18 years old, have completed the training course of tax and customs officer and are included in the list of candidates for officers have the right to fill the post of tax and customs services.

After the first reading, amendments of a technical and editorial nature were made.

The draft law on Amending the Law on Making Addenda to the Law on State Border was also debated in the second reading. It is proposed to set August 6, 2022 as the term for the entry into force of the law adopted in February of this year instead of January 1, 2022.

The RA Deputy Chairwoman of the State Revenue Committee Tsovinar Soghomonyan informed that proposals were not submitted after the first reading.

The Committee members endorsed the legislative package and the draft law.
