On December 16, the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Vladimir Vardanyan convened an extraordinary sitting.
The Committee debated in the second reading the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Civil Code with the legislative package. The main goal of the draft laws is the forecast of more effective legal mechanisms in fight against the self-propelled construction. After entering into force the legalization of the self-propelled structures will be banned, and they will be subject to destruction by the established order of the Government.
According to the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Yeranuhi Tumanyants, after the first reading amendments of technical nature were made. It was noted that the NA Civil Contract faction presented proposal. According to it, the provision of the bill was left unchanged, which designed application of punishment also in the rural communities. The Deputy Minister underlined that the edited version of the legislative initiative was presented.
In his co-report, highlighting the necessity of the legislative package, the NA Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vahagn Hovakimyan urged to endorse the bill.
The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on the RA Representative in the European Court of Human Rights with the enclosed package was debated in the second reading presented by the Representative of the Republic of Armenia in the (ECHR) of the RA Prime Minister Yeghishe Kirakosyan.He informed that the deputies did not submit proposals in written form on the legislative package.
In the opinion of the Committee Chair Vladimir Vardanyan, it is necessary to make legal rectifications in the regulation in force. He has noted that the most part of the amendments is of technical nature.
The debated initiatives were endorsed.
