On January 20, the parliament continuing the work of the regular sittings debated in the first reading the draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the RA Code on Administrative Offenses.
According to the key rapporteur, the RA Deputy Chairperson of the State Revenue Committee Tsovinar Soghomonyan, the right to drop or extend the administrative proceedings by the RA State Revenue Committee will be defined and the term of imposing administrative penalty with dropped or extended administrative proceedings will be clarified with the proposed amendments.
Tsovinar Soghomonyan informed that the draft was debated in the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs. The Government accepted the proposals and an agreement was reached to revise the draft with the presented proposals during the period of the first to the second reading.
As the co-rapporteur, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vladimir Vardanyan has said, the purpose of the proposed amendments and addenda is to eliminate the gap in the legislative field. He called on to vote for the draft. The parliament adopted the debated draft in the first reading. The bills debated on the previous day were also adopted by voting, except the draft law on Amending the RA Tax Code authored by the Government. At the suggestion of the RA Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan, the debate of the draft was passed to the stage of submitting written proposals by voting.
