1 / 17

At February 8 convened NA regular sitting the package of the draft laws on Making Amendment and Addenda to the RA Law on Road Transport and on Amending the RA Code on Administrative Offences authored by the Government was debated in the first reading.

According to the Deputy Minister of the RA Territorial Management and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan, problems arise with the legislative regulations related to the fulfillment of the contractual obligations rendering route procedural services by the organizations carrying out passenger transportations.

The executive body proposes to set the notion ‘route sheet,’ on which the relevant notification being done by the authorized organization of the body giving the right to the route service will give an opportunity to provide the decent quality of the route procedural services.

The ‘electronic route procedural service notion is also set in the law, and its introduction will give an opportunity to organize the transportation process through the electronic united information system and carry out the control.

The key rapporteur informed that stemming from the topicality of the item a decision was made to organize the debate of the legislative package to organize its debate in the second reading during 24 hours after passing it in the first reading.

Hovik Aghazaryan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing (Head) Committee on Economic Affairs.
