On February 22, chaired by Heriknaz Tigranyan, the regular sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs was held.

According to the RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ruben Sargsyan, the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Cooperation on Employment Promotion of Population of the CIS Member States was debated.

The agreement regulates the relations related to the rights of the citizens of the CIS member states in the field of employment.

The purpose of the agreement is to give the citizens of the CIS member states an opportunity to move freely, to ensure the rights of citizens to work, to promote the employment of the population and to reduce the level of unemployment.

Taking into account the importance of the document, the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs considered it expedient to ratify the agreement.

The co-rapporteur, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs Heriknaz Tigranyan has noted that the goal of the agreement is to activate the labor market and create one common platform.

The Committee endorsed the draft law.
