At March 1 press conference, the deputy of the RA NA Armenia Faction Aghvan Vardanyan referred to the legislative initiatives authored by him and the faction, which were not endorsed in the NA Standing Committees and were not included in the agenda of the session.

The NA deputy especially highlighted the legislative initiative envisaging addendum to the Laws on State Pensions and on State Benefits, which proposed to index work and military pensions every year. The Speaker noted that about 7% growth is registered, in particular, the prices of food products are rising. According to the Speaker, there are appropriate mechanisms for inflation indexation in the civilized world. Aghvan Vardanyan added that the package would refer to 480.000 pensioners and 80.000 beneficiaries.

The Speaker highlighted one more draft law too, which proposed to amend the Law on State Pensions. It was suggested not to stop paying the pension in case of not submitting the statement established by law, if, according to the BEMIS system, a pensioner is in the Republic of Armenia as of the expiration date of the statement submission deadline. It was also planned to create a general database.

Aghvan Vardanyan also touched upon the proposed amendment to the Law on State Procurement, which was related to making purchases from one person.
