On March 3, within the framework of the Open Lesson programme the pupils and the teachers of Yerevan Calouste Gulpenkian N 190 High School were hosted in parliament.
Deputies of the NA Civil Contract Faction, the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Babken Tunyan, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Sisak Gabrielyan and the member of the same Committee Hakob Aslanyan met with them.
The talk went on in Q & A format, during which the pupils were interested in the reforms expecting in the sphere of education and science. The deputies in detail answered to the voiced questions.
The legislators noticed that the pupils visited the legislative body during an important event, when only a few minutes ago with 71 votes Vahagn Khachaturyan was elected President of the Republic.
Babken Tunyan and Sisak Gabrielyan urged the children not to waste the time without any goal and study well. Babken Tunyan has noted that the knowledge is the most important contribution that they can do now.
“The education is the most important thing. The country, the people that have and form real education in its country, wins,” the pedagogue who worked for many years Hakob Aslanyan said. He also referred to the educational system of the Soviet countries and presented its good and bad sides.
After the meeting the guests took a tour with a cognitive visit in parliament building, followed the work of the regular sittings from the box of the session hall and had been photographed.
