At March 4 regular sitting of the National Assembly, the Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Tsovinar Soghomonyan presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Making Addenda to the RA Administrative Procedure Code with the enclosed legislative package.

The development of the package of the draft law is conditioned by the implementation of the obligations assumed by the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the OECD (the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) Global Forum for the exchange of confidential information protected by law in the banks and other organizations for tax purposes and the standards of the information exchange for tax purposes.

The conclusion of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs on the package was positive.

Then the legislative package on Making Addenda and Amendments to the RA Tax Code and on Making Addenda and Amendments to the RA Law on Customs Service was debated in the first reading.

The SRC Deputy Chairman Tsovinar Soghomonyan informed that the adoption of the draft law will establish a written procedure for examining an Application/Complaint submitted to the Appeals Commission of Tax and Customs Authorities, and it will ensure the implementation of the administrative procedure in the shortest possible time without complicating it.

Tsovinar Vardanyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs on the package.

The revised draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the RA Code on Administrative Offenses was debated in the second reading. It was also presented by the SRC Deputy Chairman Tsovinar Soghomonyan.
