On March 15, a working discussion on the theme Reforms of the Law: Legislative, Executive Bodies and Civil Society on Mass Media, where representatives from the legislative, executive bodies and the civil NGOs took part.
The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Sisak Gabrielyan welcomed the cooperation in the format of executive legislative bodies and civil society, evaluating the researches and works made by the civil society in implementing reforms.
The RA Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan has noted that the power does not want in any way to intervene the values preserved through many years by the colleagues of the civil society.
According to the Chairman of the Committee for Protection of Freedom of Speech Ashot Melikyan, the situation created in the information sphere is concerning. Hence, it was proposed to revise a concept for reforms of the sphere.
The process of the concept revision is at the preliminary phase, and the main directions were underlined. Joint discussions are designed with the cooperation between the legislative and executive bodies: the evaluation of the mass media representatives and the international experts will be taken into consideration.
