Unified Conditions for Pension Security of Judges, Prosecutors and Persons Holding Autonomous Positions in Investigative Bodies to Be Defined
1 / 9

On March 16, chaired by Vladimir Vardanyan, the regular sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security was held.

The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Davit Khachatryan presented for debate in the second reading the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Ensuring the Activities, Services and Social Guarantees of Officials with the package of the enclosed draft laws authored by the Government, the RA NA deputies Vladimir Vardanyan and Artur Davtyan.

According to the key rapporteur, the deputies presented a number of proposals on the legislative package. There were also discussions with the representatives of the interested departments in the period of the first to the second reading, as a result of which the draft law was re-edited.

It should be noted that the purpose of the package is to bring the conditions of the right of judges’ pension into line with the decision of the Constitutional Court, as well as to define the unified conditions for pension security of prosecutors and persons holding autonomous positions in the Investigative Bodies.

The Committee endorsed the legislative package.
