On March 21, chaired by Arman Yeghoyan, the extraordinary sitting of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration was held.
The Report on Implementation Process and Results of the RA Government Programme for 2021 (2021-2026) approved by the N 234-A Decision of the RA Government on February 28, 2022 was debated.
The RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruyr Hovhannisyan noted that in 2020, the serious challenges facing the country had a significant impact on the activities of the Ministry. In particular, among the priority agenda items of the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union, work aimed at eliminating the consequences of aggression unleashed against Artsakh and finally resolving the conflict continued, as well as the organization participated in the assistance provided by the EU to prevent coronavirus.
Touching upon the work with the members of the European Parliament, the rapporteur noted that during the reporting year, about a dozen statements were made, in which the representatives of the European Parliament referred to the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, a number of humanitarian issues, the role of Turkey in the war unleashed against Artsakh and the need for the immediate return of Armenian prisoners of war.
Paruyr Hovhannisyan briefly presented the ratified agreements and implemented programmes in the reporting year.
