The Government proposes amendments and addenda to the laws on State pensions and on State Benefits for making reforms in the process of giving pension and benefits.

The initiative was debated in the second reading at April 26 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs moderated by Heriknaz Tigranyan.

The executive body presented a number of proposals from the first to the second reading. According to the RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Davit Khachatryan, cases are known, when the conscript’s disability military benefit has been more than the contract sergeant’s. It is proposed to set not less than the minimum pension. The other proposals of the executive body are of editorial character.

The co-rapporteur, the deputy Lilit Stepanyan has highlighted the adoption of the initiative, as it is of improving significance.

The initiative was approved by the Committee.
