We will be able to resolve issues in the field of pre-school education, which require important and urgent solutions, with the draft. The RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan said about it at the April 26 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport related to the draft law on Making Amendment and Addenda to the Law on Pre-School Education being debated in the second reading.
In the period from the first to the second reading, the executive body has submitted mainly editorial proposals, which refer to the compliance of some provisions of the Law on Normative Legal Acts. According to the proposed amendment, some flexibility will be provided in the procedure of reimbursement of transport services for the pedagogical staff of community pre-school educational institutions.
The deputy Knyaz Hasanov inquired whether they use their mother tongue in the communities where the majority of national minorities live, according to the Law on Pre-school Education.
“We do not have such a situation, that pre-school education is provided in the language of the national minorities, but the law provides that opportunity. We are ready to implement those opportunities by cooperating with the communities,” Zhanna Andreasyan answered.
The amended draft law was endorsed.
