The Corruption Prevention Commission was given authority conditioned, particularly, by the necessity of specifying the legal regulations regarding the functions existing in the sphere of control implementation towards the current financial activity of the parties and overcoming the problems caused in practice. As the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Yeranuhi Tumanyants informed, the adoption of the draft law with the enclosed legislative package on Making Amendments and Addendum to the constitutional law on Parties is conditioned by this circumstance.

The draft law with the enclosed legislative package was debated in the first reading procedure at May 2 sitting of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly.

The Deputy Minister has noted that by the adoption of the draft laws it is designed to simplify the procedure of providing to the Committee the necessary information for the organization of the audit, as well as the list of the necessary information for clarifying the circumstance of being subject for mandatory audit of the party annual report and reserving the authority of submitting the form definition to the Committee.

The terms designed by the package were also changed.

By the adoption of the package it is expected to ensure the decent and effective implementation of the financial activity control of the parties and the checking functions of the declarations of the party announcer officials reserved to the Corruption Prevention Commission by the constitutional law on Parties and a number of co-laws.

The legislative package was endorsed by the Committee. It is designed to debate during the NA upcoming regular sittings in special procedure, taking into consideration the proposal of the Corruption Prevention Commission and the author.
