It is proposed to leave the authorized body with the authority to keep the registry of individuals and legal entities providing services in the field of meteorology and weather forecasting. The addendum proposed by the draft on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Hydrometeorological Activities is due to the need for the registration of persons in the field of meteorology and weather forecasting, the formation of single services market within the framework of the EAEU, the exchange of data on market participants.

The draft was debated at the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration on May 2.

The RA Deputy Minister of Environment Gayane Gabrielyan informed that the adoption of the draft will ensure the harmonization of the law with the EAEU legal regulations.

“All EAEU countries have implemented this process. The only country that has not yet fulfilled that obligation is the Republic of Armenia,” Gayane Gabrielyan said.

According to the Deputy Minister, editorial changes were made in the first to the second reading.

The Committee endorsed the draft.
