The purpose of the Agreement on use of military satellite communication systems and their further enhancement is the strengthening of management reliability of the armed forces of its participant states and the organization of the cooperation ties between the armed forces, which is implemented including through the creation of the of military satellite communication integrated systems of the CIS member states, its development of nationa l segments, taking into consideration the agreed technical requirements.

On June 10, the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security debated the draft law on Use of Military Satellite Communication Systems.

The RA Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan informed that Armenia joined the Agreement with reservation, according to which, the RA will make separate decision on spreading the provisions of the Agreement towards the states, which will join the Agreement.

The Committee endorsed the draft law.
