Procedures Regulating the Readmission of Persons Residing Without Permission in EU Countries
1 / 7

The Agreement being debated at June 13 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations gives an opportunity to set and implement common procedures with all EU member states in the issues of readmission of the persons residing without permission on the territories of the parties.

The draft law on Ratifying the protocol of the application of the Agreement on Readmission of the Persons Residing Without Permission between the RA and the European Union signed in Brussels on April 19, 2013 wis under discussion.

The Head of the Migration Service of the RA Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Ghazaryan has noted that it is a technical document, which establishes the implementation of the readmission process, the checkpoints, the authorized bodies, the list of the necessary documents for readmission and other technical details.

Armenia together with 5 EU member countries, as Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Estonia and Bulgaria has protocols in use that entered into force.

In response to the deputy Guegen Arsenyan’s question, Armen Ghazaryan informed that 1000-1200 readmission claims are received: Germany, France and the Czech Republic are in the first place.

In his co-report the member of the Committee Sargis Khandanyan proposed his counterparts to present an endorsement.

The initiative was endorsed by the Committee.
