The parliamentary cooperation between the two countries has a history of many years. I am ready to continue the parliamentary cooperation as a head of Armenia-Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia Friendship Group. The deputy of the RA NA Civil Contract Faction Arsen Torosyan said about that during the meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė.

Arsen Torosyan highlighted the close cooperation of the Friendship Groups of parliaments in the development of relations between Armenia and Lithuania.

Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė thanked Arsen Torosyan for the warm reception. Congratulating Arsen Tosrosyan for being appointed Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, the Ambassador expressed hope that in the near future it will be possible to organize a meeting of the members of the Friendship Groups of the two countries. In her opinion, the mutual visits and the direct contacts will give new breath to the inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Arsen Torosyan also added that the inter-parliamentary format is the best platform for the discussion of issues of bilateral interest.

The Head of the Friendship Group expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Lithuania for the support shown amid the pandemic, saving human lives with the help of the medical team, as well as donating vaccines. The NA deputy also spoke about the necessity of deepening cooperation in the European Union, as well as in the international different structures.

The possibilities of expanding the cooperation in a number of other spheres were also discussed.
