The ratification of the Protocol signed on October 8, 2021 will facilitate the mechanisms of visa-free travels between Armenia and Belarus. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruyr Hovhannisyan informed about this.
The Article 1 of the Agreement is added with the third and fourth paragraphs by the Protocol. According to the addenda, citizens of the state of the one side will be exempted from the obligation to register with the competent bodies of the state within 30 days from the date of entry into the territory of the state of the other side (according to the venue to stand for the record).
In case of a stay of more than 30 days, the citizen is obliged to register with the competent bodies in accordance with the legislation of that state (according to the venue to stand for the record).
It was noted that Belarus had already ratified the Protocol.
The draft law on Ratifying the Protocol on Making Addendum to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on Mutual Visa-Free Travel of Citizens of the Republic of Armenia and Citizens of the Republic of Belarus was debated at the regular sitting of the National Assembly on September 14.
The NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations endorsed the bill.
