The NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport nominated Tigran Hakobyan as a member of the Commission on Television and Radio (CTR).

The Chairman of the NA Accounting Committee Narek Babayan presented the results of the election. Tigran Hakobyan was elected as CTR member. 66 deputies out of 107 deputies took part in the election.

In accordance with the Article 135.4 of the Law NA Rules of Procedure and Article 34.6 of the law on Video Audio Media, the CTR member elected by the NA assuming the position took an oath.

“Assuming the duties of the member of the regulating state body, I do swear to be faithful to the Constitution and laws, protect the human rights and fundamental freedoms, support the formation of the civil society, by executing the right of freely expressing opinion, freedom of information and plurality. I do swear that I will fulfill my duties unbiased, with utmost conscience and honesty, I will act by the principle of publicity, impartiality and justice irrespective of any political or economic interest,” Tigran Hakobyan said.

The National Assembly finished the work of the regular sitting.
