On October 17, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Armenia Fabio Vaz Pitaluga. The RA NA President expressed his best wishes to the newly appointed Ambassador in the implementation of the mission.

Touching upon the inter-parliamentary format of bilateral relations, Alen Simonyan informed that Armenia-Brazil Friendship Group was formed in the National Assembly, expressing hope about the creation of Brazil-Armenia Friendship Group in the National Congress of the Federative Republic of Brazil in the near future.

The sides documented about the importance of cooperation in different spheres and the undertaking of steps promoting it.

At the meeting details on the Azerbaijani aggression against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia on September 13 and its aftermath were discussed. Alen Simonyan noted that he called on his international partners to strictly and targeted condemn the aggression unleashed by the military- political leadership against the Republic of Armenia, the gross violations of the principle of prohibition of the threat and use of force against the territorial integrity stipulated by the UN Charter.
