It is proposed to make addendum and amendments to all Articles of the laws on Audiovisual Media and on Advertising, which regulate the sphere of audiovisual media. As a result of amendments, it will be possible to have audiovisual media means in the public multiplex, and its names or trademarks will be identical or like a degree of confusion with the names of the trademarks or the companies being engaged with the activity of the gambling (gambling via internet) during the last five years, as well as the legal relations that regulate the broadcasting of the advertisement via audiovisual media, will be specified, will be complied with the audiovisual legislation in force and the modern international regulations.

The adoption of the legislative package will allow removing the contradictions of the audiovisual media with the legislation and specifying the notions being used in the law.

The Committee endorsed the package. It will be included in the draft of the agenda of the NA current session.

The legislative package on Making Addendum to the law on Audiovisual Media and on Making Amendments to the law on Advertising authored by the deputy Gevorg Papoyan in the first reading was debated at the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport on October 21.
