Committee Endorses Drafts Debated in Second Reading

On November 24, the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs debated in the second reading the legislative initiatives debated at the NA extraordinary sitting and adopted in the first reading at the extraordinary sitting.

The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Tax Code was debated. The purpose of the initiative is to return the amount of the excise tax paid at the time of import and subsequent export of goods subject to excise tax to the Republic of Armenia to economic entities. The date of entry into force of the law was changed. Once fully adopted, the law will enter into force on January 1, 2023.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan informed that editorial amendments and amendments related to the provision on the entry into force of the law were made to the package of draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Tax Code and on Amending the Law on Temporary Disability and Maternity Benefits. Once fully adopted, the law will enter into force on January 1, 2023. One provision will come into force on July 1, 2023.

Editorial amendments were made to the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Road Transport and on Amending the Law on Transport.
