In the Parliament of Spain we are engaged in the processes on voicing the Armenian issues. The Congress of Deputies unanimously adopted a statement, which condemns the invasion to the sovereign territory of Armenia by the Azerbaijani forces and calls on them to return to their initial positions. The deputy of Spain Jon Iñarritu, who had arrived in Armenia on a two-day visit, said about this during his visit to Jermuk on December 2. The deputy of the Civil Contract Faction of the RA National Assembly, the Head of Armenia-Spain Friendship Group Tatevik Gasparyan accompanied the deputy.
The parliamentarians visited Jermuk Resort, Kechut cemetery and ropeway which were affected because of the Azerbaijani aggression.
The Spanish MP noted that upon his return to his country, he will present to his colleagues the damages incurred by the resort town as a result of the use of weapons of different calibers by Azerbaijan and everything he saw with his own eyes.
The Deputy Mayor of Jermuk Vardan Sargsyan met the guests and presented the situation and problems created in the region as a result of the Azerbaijani military aggression in September. According to him, at the moment the situation in the city is calm, but threats are always present.
Tatevik Gasparyan underlined the importance of such visits, noting that they give an opportunity once again to present the reality to the international community.
