A number of sub-legislative legal regulations related to the field of the activity of the Ministry of Health were previously adopted due to the absence of an authorizing norm or the legal acts that were the basis for their adoption are no longer valid. So, it is necessary to make addenda to the Law on Medical Aid and Service for Population. The RA Deputy Minister of Health informed about this at the NA siting on December 6.

It is proposed to give the authority to choose a doctor (family doctor, therapist, pediatrician), register and deregister the population with him/her, the procedure for changing the doctor, as well as to establish the registration numbers for the population served by the specialists providing primary health care, narrow and dispensary services, to an authorized body of the state administration in the field of healthcare.

The authorized body will also be given the authority to approve the list of medical aid and services provided using the latest and expensive technologies.
