New Regulations Are Proposed in Administrative Offenses Code
1 / 3

Market control, Health and Labor Inspection Bodies will be empowered to investigate cases of violations and impose administrative penalties not only for violations of technical regulations, but also for violations of other safety requirements in the given field.

The executive body proposes amendments and addenda to the Code of Administrative Offenses. At the January 11 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, the Acting Head of Inspection Bodies’ Coordination Bureau of the RA Prime Minister's Staff Armen Danielyan presented the regulations in the first reading. The draft also envisages assigning the function given to the market control inspection body and the local government in the field of intellectual property to the local government only, because in practice it was controlled by the local government.

In the related report, the Chair of the Committee Vladimir Vardanyan noted that the amendments are derived from the EAEU regulations and aim to be specified.

The issue was endorsed by the Committee.
