According to the bill, new procedures will be introduced in the field of pre-vocational (vocational) and secondary vocational education, which will be aimed at the mechanism of linking the employees’ professional development and remuneration. It is suggested to apply the same approach that works in the field of general education through certification and categories. The start of the certification process is scheduled to start in 2024.
The draft law on Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Pre-vocational (Vocational) and Secondary Vocational Education was debated and endorsed in the second reading by the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport at the regular sitting on January 13.
The Committee also debated the draft law on Amendments to the Law on Education in the second reading, which proposes regulations in the licensing process of educational institutions and educational programs. The amendments proposed by the draft law are aimed at increasing the quality of education and will create additional toolsets to ensure effective mechanisms in this matter. The Committee endorsed the draft law. The debate of the draft law on Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Audiovisual Media was postponed for a period of up to two months for revising it in the second reading.
