I have repeatedly mentioned the need of the development of the NA Staff capacity building and the importance of uninterruptedness and as Chief of NA Staff, have always welcomed our international colleagues’ proposals to support the capacity strengthening process. I am hopeful and confident that in 2022, our recorded successes will give an impetus for the implementation of new and interesting programs in 2023 between the NA Staff and the International Republican Institute (IRI), the NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General Vahan Naribekyan said.
On January 18, in parliament an event dedicated to the closing ceremony of the joint training courses conducted in 2022 between the Staff of the National Assembly and the International Republican Institute, during which the beneficiaries of the Project, the members of the NA Staff were handed over certificates.
Emphasizing the organization of such training courses, the NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General expressed readiness to support all the initiatives, which will be aimed at the development of the knowledge of the employees of the Parliament’s Staff. Vahan Naribekyan thanked his counterpart for organizing the courses at high level.
The Resident Program Director of the International Republican Institute James de Witt documented that the International Republican Institute under the USAID’s Strengthening Electoral Processes and Political Accountability Project conducted the training courses launched on the previous year. James de Witt thanked the NA counterparts for supporting in the organizational works of wide variety courses.
To his observation, the conducted courses can be of important significance in the further activities of the Project participants, as they were given fundamental knowledge and skills for communication in written form and orally, the visualization of the data, as well as working in the legislative drafts.
It was noted that the International Republican Institute will continue the collaboration with the Staff of the National Assembly, stemming from the need assessment. It is designed, in particular, to conduct targeted trainings.
