Ruben Rubinyan Receives Newly Appointed U.S. Ambassador to Armenia

On February 27, the RA NA Vice President Ruben Rubinyan received the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Kristina Kvien.

Congratulating on assuming the office, Ruben Rubinyan expressed his conviction that Kristina Kvien will contribute to the deepening of Armenian-American cooperation with her activities.

Issues regarding bilateral partnership and friendly relations were debated at the meeting. It was noted that the format of inter-parliamentary cooperation has an important role in Armenian-American relations.

Introducing the situation in the region, Ruben Rubinyan spoke about the imperative to immediately stop the illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan and restrain Azerbaijan's aggressive and bellicose policy.

The Ambassador valued the deepening of Armenian-American cooperation and the establishment of peace in the region.

Ideas were exchanged on the process of normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations.
