In 2022, the rock fall hazard sites on the territories of the RA marzes were adjusted. Compulsory rock fall works were carried out in 2 rock fall hazard sites of Tavush Marz, 13 – Gegharkunik Marz – 6, Vayots Dzor Marz – 3, Syunik Marz – 6. The RA Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan said about this at March 15 sitting of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security, presenting the Government programme execution for 2022.

“During forest big fires at inaccessible locations by using water dispenser by helicopter in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense fire extinguishing was carried out. There is one water dispenser” is envisaged to get one more for raising the response efficiency with two helicopters,” the Minister underscored.

During the financial period the rescue service was replenished with 17 UAV, 2 underwater drones, 2 night-visibility devices, 1 laser device, 1 fire engine, 1400 sets of fire uniforms, etc.

871 million AMD was allocated from the state budget to improve the technical equipment of rescue service by the Government decision.

A series of educational exercises and other works were held by the Rescue Service sub-divisions.

During the financial period the Director of the RA National Security Service Armen Abazyan presented the works done behind closed doors of the Committee sitting.
