On March 15, the NA Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to Armenia Patrik Svensson.

By Sargis Khandanyan’s assessment, inter-parliamentary relations between Armenia and Sweden are active. The Committee Chair highlighted the effective cooperation between the delegations of two countries on various international parliamentary platforms.

Touching upon the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, Sargis Khandanyan underscored that Azerbaijan continues to block the Lachin Corridor, grossly violating the obligations assumed by the trilateral statement of 9 November 2020 and ignoring the decision of the UN International Court of Justice.

Sargis Khandanyan valued the financial support provided by the Swedish Government in the development of a number of spheres, including the support for developing the institutional capacity of the National Assembly.
