On April 13, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, Taguhi Tovmasyan met with Natia Natsvlishvili, the UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia and Konstantin Sokulskiy, the UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Armenia.
Taguhi Tovmasyan extended her thanks to Natia Natsvlishvili for ongoing support of the UNDP to our border communities under their mandate to help people build a better life.
The Committee Chair introduced her colleagues to the spheres of activities of RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, Reference was made to important issues relating to human rights, including the prevention of violence in the family, children’s rights.
Natia Natsvlishvili highlighted the protection of human rights as a key priority of the UNDP to build democratic societies and help governments in their reforms-driven processes.
The sides showed their willingness in further enhancement of their collaboration to have human rights protected more effectively.
