The Executive proposed to make amendments and addenda to the Labor Code, as well as addenda to the Tax Code and to the law on Personalized Accounting of Income Tax, Profit Tax and Social Payments. The revised version of the package of draft laws was debated at April 25 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs. The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ruben Sargsyan informed that there were meetings with the representatives of the concerned structures during the period from the first to the second reading: some of the presented proposals have been adopted. According to the Deputy Minister, 45% of the articles of the RA Labor Code will be amended by the draft.
The deputy of the Civil Contract Faction Zaruhi Batoyan thanked Ruben Sargsyan for the joint work and inquired why the Government did not adopt her proposal, that is, to give preference to not dismissing all persons with disabilities, not only those with military disabilities, in response to which the Deputy Minister noted that there is need to discuss the issue in more detail.
The co-rapporteur, the Committee Chair Heriknaz Tigranyan informed that mainly technical amendments were made from the first to the second reading. She proposed to vote for the package of draft laws.
The Committee endorsed the inclusion of the package of draft laws in the agenda of the NA plenary sittings in the second reading.
At the end of the sitting, the members of the NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs also voted for the draft on holding parliamentary hearings on May 10 at 11:00, within the framework of which the RA Law on Voluntary Activities and Voluntary Work will be debated.
