On May 12, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan hosted the First Lady of the Republic of Armenia Anna Hakobyan and the President and Founder of Women Political Leaders (WPL) Silvana Koch-Mehrin, who arrived in Armenia at the latter’s invitation.

The RA NA President made a tour with the guests in parliament. He answered Silvana Koch-Mehrin’s questions regarding the women political leaders of Armenia and their capacity development projects by the National Assembly.

A talk was held around women’s leadership in parliaments of democratic countries and participatory approaches in the implementation of the projects.

Anna Hakobyan and the German guest also met with the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs Heriknaz Tigranyan and deputies Tsovinar Vardanyan and Taguhi Ghazaryan, the participants of the Women Political Leaders Summit to be organized by the European Parliament and the Federal Parliament of Belgium in June of this year.
