Students of Charles Aznavour College Visit Parliament

The deputy of the Civil Contract Faction Sergey Bagratyan hosted the students and lecturers of Charles Aznavour Yerevan State College of Culture and Art in Parliament on May 17.

The meeting took place in Q&A session. The deputy presented the work of Parliament, familiarized with the deputies’ activity.

The students asked the important questions that concern them, inquired about the changes in the educational programme. The young people’s questions were about the RA and the regional security, involvement of women and girls in the RA Armed Forces.

The students also expressed concern about the removal of Armenian Church history textbooks from the educational system. The deputy mentioned that the knowledge about the church and religion, even if not within the scope of a separate subject, will necessarily be supplemented during the lessons of Armenian history.

Sergey Bagratyan inquired about the professional branches the students chose, urged them to further work and carry out activities in their homeland, developing the cultural sphere in the RA.

He welcomed the activity of the students and called on them to take part in the governance of the state in the future.
