On June 2, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sragis Khandanyan, the members of the Committee Hripsime Grigoryan and Maria Karapetyan met with the members of the Working Party on Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Council of the European Union.
The Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia attended the meeting.
The sides touched upon Armenia-European Union relations, the importance of parliamentary cooperation with the European Parliament, as well as parliaments of the member states was underscored.
The NA deputies spoke about the security challenges of Armenia. Reference was made to the communication between the power and the public, particularly, in the context of the negotiations and the Nagorno Karabakh problem settlement process the provision of the effective communication between Parliament and public.
During the meeting the interlocutors referred to the importance of the coordinated work of the opposition and power.
The agenda of democratic reforms in Armenia was presented, giving details on the progress in the development of the institutes, the fight against corruption and the reforms of the judicial-legal system,
