The draft proposes to remove from the law on Employment the authorizing norm, which is the basis for the development of the annual state employment regulation programme, based on its ineffectiveness. This was stated by the RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ruben Sargsyan who presented the draft law on Making Amendments to the Law on Employment for debate in the first reading at the extraordinary sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs on June 9.
“So that we don’t approve 7 or 8 programs every year, those 7-8 programs will always be in the Unified Social Service with certain changes. The beneficiaries or citizens who want to take part in any programme can go and take part in them. There is no question of destroying systems or creating new systems at all. On the contrary, we are going in this direction to make the frozen system or non-working programmes more efficient and dynamic,” the moderator of the sitting Lilit Stepanyan said responding to the Committee member Aghvan Vardanyan, who claimed that the system is being destroyed with this proposal.
The Committee endorsed the draft.
The Committee debated the draft law on Voluntary Work and the related package of bills in the second reading. The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ruben Sargsyan said that all the proposals of the deputies were adopted, as a result of which the package was revised.
The Committee endorsed this draft as well.
The drafts will be included in the draft agendas of the NA upcoming regular sittings.
