In the extraordinary sitting of July 12, the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs debated the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Road Transport in the second reading.

The key rapporteur, the RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan noted that it is proposed to revise the transport fare in case of changes in the routes and schemes of individual routes of the unified route networks, or to set the transport fare without a tender in case of formation of new routes not provided for by the tender for the selection of a unified operator.

According to the Deputy Minister, the requirement for the adaptation of the vehicles serving the regular intra-community passenger transportation of multi-residential communities for persons with disabilities will also be reviewed.

It was noted that after the first reading, proposals of a technical nature were presented, which were adopted.

The Committee members endorsed the revised draft law.
