Dear compatriots,

Today we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of Armenia.

The start of the process of establishment of independent statehood and the following years were touchstones of struggle, overcoming crises, and full understanding of new realities. The declaration is our imperative to create a legal and democratic society.

Years later, we continue the struggle to preserve our independence, to raise the voice of our democracy in the world.

At the time of its adoption, the declaration underscored that it is also the basis for the development of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the new legislation of the Republic.

We are still on the way to implement this message, and having learned the lessons of the past, we must move forward for the sake of our statehood and our people.

Long live the Republic of Armenia, glory and honor to the fighters of the struggle for independence.
