Alen Simonyan to newly appointed Ambassador of France: France is always a reliable partner of Armenia

On August 23, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to the Republic of Armenia Olivier Decottignies. Alen Simonyan congratulated the Ambassador on assuming the responsible position, expressing conviction that he will make maximum efforts to deepen the relations between the two countries.

The RA NA President noticed that the Ambassador has started his activity very actively, which confirms the fact of being a great friend of our country. In response, the Ambassador mentioned that his first official visit was to Syunik region, which contains an important message. The NA President reaffirmed that France is a reliable partner of Armenia today.

The active cooperation between the Armenian and French parliaments and the working visit of the RA NA President to Paris on July 10-13 were discussed at the meeting.

The interlocutors discussed the details of the security situation in the region and exchanged opinions on the steps to overcome the Lachin crisis.

Both sides expressed willingness to continue further cooperation.
