According to the legislative initiative of the Government, it is proposed to add a new part to Article 7.9 of the Law on Ensuring the Activity of Officials, Service and Social Guarantees, as a result of which the order for the use of official delegation halls at the airports in the Republic of Armenia by the official delegations and officials and their family members will be defined by the RA Prime Minister’s decision.

According to RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruyr Hovhannisyan, taking into consideration that the legal regulations in the law refer only to the use of the special hall of the airports by some officials and their family members, it is necessary to provide provisions in the law regarding the procedure for using the hall of the other official delegations of the airports: establishing an authorizing norm, on the basis of which it will be possible to ensure the order for the use of official delegation halls of airports in the Republic of Armenia by the official delegations, officials and their family members in accordance with the order by the Prime Minister’s decision.

The co-rapporteur, a Committee member Maria Karapetyan, noting that the legal regulations are actually not new, called on her colleagues to vote for it.

The Committee members endorsed the bill.

The draft law on Making Addenda to the Law on Ensuring the Activity of Officials, Service and Social Guarantees was debated at the regular sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations in the first reading on September 7.
