It is proposed to establish a single state duty rate for issuing a certificate of return to the RA. Currently, the state duty rates for issuing a certificate of return to the RA are defined for two main cases: When the applicant does not present an identity document, when the person presents an unusable or expired identity document. 30.000 AMD is set for the first case, and 10.000 AMD for the second one. The amendment proposes to establish a general duty rate of 20 thousand AMD. The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on State Duty was debated in the first reading at the NA sitting on September 12.

“The draft proposes to repeal the rate set for the no longer existing Registration of Acts of Civil Residence function and to increase the rate of another consular service provided in practice, which is currently not defined. The rates of the state duty intended for providing some consular services are defined through a video conference, one norm that no longer pursues a useful aim and does not solve any problem is eliminated,” the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan said.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Alkhas Ghazaryan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The draft was debated at the NA regular sitting on September 12.
