On September 19, the RA NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan met with the delegation led by the Chairperson of the Committee on Environment of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Yana Krutáková.
“Armenia greatly values the stable development of friendly relations with the Czech Republic on bilateral, as well as multilateral platforms,” Hakob Arshakyan said, welcoming the members of delegation in the Parliament of Armenia.
The NA Vice President noted that Armenia highly appreciates the adoption of the resolutions on return of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan by the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies. He expressed hope that the Czech colleagues will continue supporting the Armenian people and promote the return of prisoners of war.
Hakob Arshakyan underlined with satisfaction the fact that after a gap of five years Prague-Yerevan air communication resumed. He expressed conviction that it will have positive impact on the development of a number of spheres.
Evaluating the effective cooperation between the Friendship Groups of the National Assembly of Armenia and the Chamber of Deputies of Czech Republic. Hakob Arshakyan noted that he will visit the Czech Republic at the invitation of the Vice President of the Senate of the Czech Republic in October. He expressed hope that the visit will foster the strengthening of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
Thanking the NA Vice President for the warm reception, Yana Krutáková mentioned with satisfaction that it was succeeded to develop inter-state relations and agenda: from the active political dialogue up to interaction in the spheres of mutual interest between the two countries.
A series of agenda items concerning cooperation were discussed.
