The delegation led by the NA President of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan is in Dublin to take part in the large-scale European Parliamentary Summit. The Speakers of Parliaments of 46 member states of the Council of Europe, the parliamentarians of observer states, as well as the Heads of inter-parliamentary organizations are participating in the summit.

In total, around 400 delegates will be present at the event. The European Conference takes place every two years under the auspices of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg.

One of the themes of the conference is The Challenges to Representative Democracy in Volatile Times, within the framework of which the speech of the RA NA President Alen Simonyan is planned.

The first European Conference of the Presidents of Parliaments took place in 1975.
