The necessity of the improvement of the legal field was emerged by the clarification of the demands and defining the control measures being introduced to the dynamic development characteristic to the tourism sector and tourism activity in the conditions of new challenges. The draft on Tourism and the enclosed presented package of drafts was debated and passed in the second reading in the RA NA extraordinary session on December 22.
As the key rapporteur, the RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan presented during the period from the first to the second reading numerous proposals were received, and its considerable part was accepted. As a result, consensus legislative package is submitted for debate in the parliament, which will be of key importance in the development of the sector. Presenting in detail the amendments made, the Minister noted that the package underlined the directions and perspectives of the development of the coming 5-10 years.
The key rapporteur, the member of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs David Arushanyan, presenting the endorsement of the Head Committee on the package of drafts proposed his colleagues to vote for the draft.
