Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Debates Multilateral Agreement on Tax Sector
1 / 1

Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on the Exchange of Country-by-Country Reports was signed on January 27, 2016. It derives from the strategy of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) and the activity programme of the RA Government for 2021-2026: The Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Ashot Muradyan said, presenting the bill on ratifying the above-mentioned Agreement.

According to Ashot Muradyan, the transfer pricing mechanism implemented in our country envisages a three-level documentation system. One of the demands of the latter is the introduction of the standard of exchange of reports between countries in Armenia.

"If there are multinational organizations, companies, and their annual gross income is more than 750 million euros, then these companies submit a report in the established format to the tax authority of the country of their registration residence. The authorized body sends it to the authorized bodies of the countries where this multinational organization has representations," the rapporteur underlined and added that in this regard, Armenia will not be a providing country, but a receiving country.

The issue was debated at the sitting of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs on January 10 and was endorsed.
