Davit Arakelyan meets with delegation led by Secretary General of Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungong

It is a great honor for the National Assembly to host the 10th Forum of Young MPs of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Yerevan: The RA NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General Davit Arakelyan said, welcoming the delegation led by the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungong to the Parliament on January 29.

The Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, thanking for the warm reception, mentioned that they are looking forward to the Forum of Young Parliamentarians. He stressed that he does not doubt the proper holding of the Forum in Yerevan.

Speaking about the issues regarding the safety of the participants of the Forum, Davit Arakelyan underlined that Armenia guarantees the safety of the delegations of all the countries participating in the Forum.

Davit Arakelyan also informed that they are working towards having a Green Parliament based on the manual developed by the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Martin Chungong welcomed the initiative to implement the Green Parliament project, noting that they want to show Armenia’s example to other countries. He expressed his willingness to support these and other projects.

During the meeting, issues related to the holding of the 10th Forum of Young MPs of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Yerevan were also discussed.
