The executive body, making amendments to the 2017-2020 programme for the privatization of the state property, proposes to remove Emergency Airport CJSC from the list of privatization: The Head of the State Property Management Committee of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Arnak Avetisyan said this at the January 31 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs. It was moderated by the Deputy Chair of the Committee Babken Tunyan.

According to the rapporteur, the above-mentioned organization has not carried out actual activities for tens of years. It was noted that in 2013 it was removed from the privatization list and transferred to the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations in order to implement certain programmes. According to Arnak Avetisyan, they were not implemented, and the organization was again included in the privatization programme.

“During this time, we worked intensively in the direction of attracting investments for the organization, but as a result, we did not receive any proposal,” the representative of the Government underlined.

The rapporteur stated that the Government’s decision was made, the property was removed from the organization’s balance sheet and became state property.

According to Arnak Avetisyan, the new law on State Property Management is being elaborated, which will allow eliminating legal gaps and inconsistencies. “We are trying to implement a policy of changing the state property management system and its objectives.”

The bill on making Amendments to the Law on the Privatization of State Property for 2017-2020 was approved by the Committee.
